Clear the Space – First Trailer – Don’t Judge Me! :-)

Thanks to all of you who opened my newsletter last month, especially since, looking back, I realized the last time I sent anything to my mailing list was 2012. Y’all patient!

Some of you might have heard back then that I was going to write a book about how it’s not just about finding the “perfect” decluttering and organizing system to keep your spaces tidy. I had realized often there’s mind clutter getting in the way of getting it done, and keeping it that way.

Plus, if you haven’t been keeping your body decluttered with exercise (the best method of getting rid of body clutter, as well as depression) you may also be dragging your feet on the downsize project. It all made perfect logical sense.

But you know how you sometimes start on a journey thinking it will take you to “X” destination, and you end up somewhere else? This book journey took a looooooong time (about 14 years) for various reasons, mainly that I had so much engineering work, I couldn’t bear to even look at the computer for one more second per week.

But the timing was perfect, as I learned some things at the very end that I wouldn’t have otherwise, such as, that the “rush” of decluttering (endorphins/exhilaration) is the same whether you declutter body, mind, or stuff, and it gives benefits far beyond the decluttering project itself (more on that later).

Meanwhile, I also learned I love making videos to illustrate the ideas in my book more than almost anything else I’ve done in my life. Who knew? I decluttered the “what do I want to do when I grow up?” dilemma.

Right away I thought my book should have a trailer to explain itself, so here it is. Now, remember this was one of my first, so….it’s a little eclectic, especially at the end where I threw in a clip only because I love it, and it cheers me up.
